Thank you for both doing the job for which I hired you and for doing that job efficiently with complete regard for my feelings and my needs for an efficient kitchen.

From the start you asked the "right questions" and listened to my needs for efficiency and lowering costs. You realized I was someone who wanted to get in that kitchen and out of it in record time, and who needed a great deal of cupboard space in an already designated area that was none too large.

The help you afforded me in selecting the proper fixtures and accessories allowed me to achieve the kitchen I had envisioned only from afar.

That kitchen is a showplace now. Friends and relatives are impressed with the job and the attention to detail. I am especially enamored of the under-cabinet lighting, the "little" efficiencies like the double layer flatware drawer and pull-out stove hood, and that space-filled appliance garage.

Something I believe must be said is that you have a wonderful personality for the job as well as the expertise. Some people know their jobs well enough but have no personality or understanding of what a customer needs when such a great upheaval takes place in their lives. I appreciated the lack of "pushiness," the understanding when I was in despair that some sub-contractors would never get the job done or done correctly, and most of all your willingness to fix what others had ruined, mixed up or forgotten altogether.

My home is my own again, but I shall call you when I can afford a bathroom renewal (even if you don't advertise that as your field of work).

Dear Town,

It was so exciting to receive the beautiful Hallmark cabinets yesterday. They look exquisite. We enjoyed carefully prowling in the garage last night to see what was where. I'm almost glad we didn't see each cabinet as it arrived, as we still have more surprises awaiting us.

It's unbelievable how many assorted pieces were necessary. Now that I see the stack of them, I appreciate even more the time it took for you to conceptualize and order them all.

It certainly is a kick watching it all come together.

We all must be proud of the public interest that the Wood Residence is obtaining. After winning awards and being published, the house was selected to be on the 1996 Orange County AIA tour.
